How Dillon Weigel's Career Took Off at Hutchinson

Dillon grew-up in Fort Worth, Texas. He married his college sweetheart, who is also a native of Texas. Dillon and his wife Elizabeth have been married for seven years and moved to New England two years ago, just about the same time he started with Hutchinson Aerospace & Industry. Dillon’s wife is currently completing her medical residency in Massachusetts and should be finished next summer. The exciting news is they are expecting their first baby girl in October. Dillon works in our Engineering Department as a design project engineer. He has been focusing on our railroad market and has also worked with the defense and industrial markets.
“Working at Hutchinson allows me to work with fun and cutting-edge technology, and there is a lot of opportunity for innovation,” Dillon said. But his career journey has also included many real journeys, both domestic and international, supporting our engineering programs for our suppliers and end users.
When we say you can really go places with a career at Hutchinson, we mean it—figuratively and literally! Dillon recently traveled to India to support our railroad programs and develop new supplier relationships. Since he started at Hutchinson, he has also visited France, Germany, Austria, California, Florida, Michigan and, New York.
As much as he loves the innovative work and exciting travel his career affords him, Dillon says what he enjoys most about Hutchinson is the family atmosphere. “The people are very nice, and my job is very rewarding and challenging. Everyone is willing to help.”
